Waterfalls as signage

This isn’t really digital, but nonetheless a very cool approach to pushing a brand in a big environment.

MIT’s AdLab blog has a bit about this installation at Daimler-Chrysler’s major auto show area. The thing has some 3,000 water nozzles blasting down images like an inkjet printer. I think this would run the risk of getting old quickly, in terms of a permanent installation, but as a trade show or short-term thing, it definitely has stopping power.

    Hmmm… This is about 2 years old. I actually saw this installation in Europe 2 summers ago.

    None the less, it did make its way into the “centre of the universe” A.K.A North America. Just like “digital signage” did.
