More wandering screens hit streets

Toronto’s Hit N’ Run Entertainment has joined the small pack of companies here and there hiring poor slobs to wander around areas with LCDs strapped to their backs or chests.

In this case, Media in Canada reports the videonauts (new mangled word) are wandering about in Santa outfits promoting a Diana Krall Christmas CD (though I thought that came out last year).

I have seen a few other companies doing this, including one in Halifax that had people hanging around streetside patios and making you think they were going to try to sell you roses or something. To the credit of Ads on Feet, the screen units were a heck of a lot slicker than this. These ones have a digital signage by Canadian Tire look about them.

But if I had to carry one all day, I suppose I’d take comfort over elegance.
