Measuring audiences with gadgets

After a slightly noxious foray into advertorial (the president of a company that uses Windows and sponsors the site examining the merits of Windows versus Linux — guess which OS won!!!), AKA seems to have its legs under it again and is pushing out some good, unbiased stuff.

There’s a piece just up about measurement technology, looking at a couple of Canuck companies, New Jersey’s Samoff Labs, and the UK’s RMS Instore. All are going at it differently, and the only common thread seems to be that while gadgetry will help make this medium more measurable, none of it is perfect. The high potential stuff -like video tracking – is just to stinkin’ expensive to widely deploy.
