Mathieu leaves Broadsign for Neo

Benjamin Mathieu, who has been banging the drum steadily for Broadsign for at least the last couple of years, has hooked up as CEO for Neo Advertising, the Swiss firm that recently bought the DAN mall food court network.

Neo’s Alexandre de Senger confirms Mathieu has left Broadsign, though Neo uses that firm’s software.

Neo has also announced Ian Dobson will stay on with a rejuvenated DAN as VP Sales. Dobson also has Broadsign in his past.

A press release today says Neo plans to increase the number of installed malls, and screens, in Canada, as well as get into some 200 malls in the US under the partnership it says is still on with media giant ClearChannel.

The plan to add more screens in its Canadian portfolio adds more credence to the notion that Neo picked up DAN not so much for the product as for the land-grab.
